- 300g rice (rinsed with cold water)
- 800g tomatoes (peeled and grated)
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 2 carrots (grated)
- 1 red bell pepper (finely chopped)
- 1 green bell pepper (finely chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- Half a bunch of parsley (finely chopped)
- 70g tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Red pepper flakes
- Marjoram
- 1 liter water

Instructions:
- Sauté vegetables: Heat some oil in a pot. Add the onion, carrots, red and green bell peppers, and garlic. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Add tomatoes: Stir in the tomato paste and red pepper flakes. Add the grated tomatoes and sugar. Stir well.
- Simmer: Cover and simmer on medium heat for 20-25 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Add rice and seasonings: Add the rice and water. Season with salt, black pepper, marjoram, and parsley.
- Cook rice: Cover and simmer for an additional 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
- Rest: Turn off the heat and let the rice sit for 15-20 minutes to absorb the sauce.
- Serve: Serve immediately.
