- 1 liter whole milk
- 200g sugar
- 100g rice
- 400ml water

Instructions:
- Cook the rice: In a saucepan, combine the water and the pre-washed rice. Bring to a boil and let the rice absorb all the water, stirring occasionally.
- Add milk and vanilla: Gradually add the milk and vanilla extract to the rice. Stir well and continue cooking over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Prepare the starch: In a separate bowl, whisk together the wheat starch and milk until smooth.
- Combine and thicken: Add the sugar to the rice mixture and stir. Gradually pour in the starch mixture, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. The mixture should have a creamy consistency.
- Bake: Divide the sutlyash into individual bowls and place them in a baking dish. Pour water into the baking dish, filling it halfway. Bake in an unpreheated oven at 180°C (350°F) in the middle of the oven, without fan, until the top is golden brown.
- Chill and serve: Remove the bowls from the baking dish, let them cool, and then refrigerate for a few hours. Serve chilled.
