Instructions:

  1. Season the leg of lamb with salt, black pepper, paprika, dried savory, and olive oil. Rub all the spices in well.
  2. Add the garlic cloves and fresh savory to a roasting pan.
  3. Pour in the beer and 500 ml of water.
  4. Cover the leg of lamb with wet baking paper to prevent the meat from drying out.
  5. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
  6. Roast in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit), without a fan, in the lower part of the oven, for about 4 hours.
  7. 20-30 minutes before removing the pan from the oven, remove the aluminum foil and paper, and let it brown.
  8. Serve the leg of lamb with a side dish of your choice.
