- 500 ml (17 fl oz) beer

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) without a fan.
- In a frying pan with olive oil, sear the pork knuckle on all sides until golden brown.
- Transfer the pork knuckle to a roasting pan.
- Add the potatoes, garlic, and rosemary. Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper.
- Drizzle with a little olive oil and rub in all the spices well.
- Add the beer and 100-200 ml (3-7 fl oz) of water.
- Distribute the butter knobs on top.
- Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 2 hours in the lower part of the oven.
- After 2 hours, remove the foil and return the pan to the oven for another 20-30 minutes, until the dish is baked through.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
