Instructions:

Boil the lamb meat:

  1. Place the meat in a pot with 2 liters of water.
  2. Add a pinch of salt.
  3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 90 minutes.
  4. During cooking, remove any foam that forms on the surface.
  5. Once the meat is cooked, remove it from the pot and let it cool.
  6. Reserve the broth.

Prepare the vegetables:

  1. Roughly chop the spinach.
  2. Finely chop the garlic and onions.
  3. Heat oil in a saucepan.
  4. Sauté the garlic and onions for 1-2 minutes, until softened.
  5. Add the spinach and cook until wilted.
  6. Add the canned tomatoes, rice, salt, black pepper, paprika, and savory.
  7. Stir well and turn off the heat.

Assemble the dish:

  1. Transfer the vegetable mixture to a baking dish.
  2. Shred the lamb meat and arrange it over the rice.
  3. Pour in about 1.5 liters of the broth.

Bake:

  1. Bake the dish at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit), without a fan, in the lower part of the oven, for about 50 minutes.

Serve:

  1. Serve the lamb with spinach and rice warm.
  2. Accompany the dish with yogurt and fresh garlic sprigs.
