Instructions:

Preparing the meatballs:
  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, egg, and breadcrumbs. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, savory, and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Wet your hands with water and shape the meat mixture into meatballs slightly larger than a walnut.
  3. Dredge the meatballs in flour.
  4. In a preheated skillet, add a small amount of oil and fry the meatballs on all sides until golden brown.
Preparing the mashed potatoes:
  1. Place the peeled potatoes in a pot and cover with water.
  2. Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes until tender.
  3. Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot.
  4. Add the butter and milk and mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  5. Season the mashed potatoes with salt to taste.
Preparing the sauce:
  1. In the same skillet where you fried the meatballs, pour in the white wine and cook for about 1 minute until it starts to evaporate.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and water until a smooth paste forms.
  3. Add the flour paste to the wine in the skillet and stir well.
  4. Season the sauce with salt and black pepper.
  5. Cook the sauce until it thickens.
  6. Finally, add the butter and stir until melted.
Serving:
  1. On a plate, place a scoop of mashed potatoes.
  2. Arrange the meatballs on top of the mashed potatoes.
  3. Drizzle with the wine sauce.

Enjoy!

Here are some additional tips:
  • For a richer flavor, use a combination of ground beef and ground lamb.
  • You can also add chopped herbs, such as parsley or mint, to the meat mixture for extra flavor.
  • Serve the meatballs with a side salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
