Instructions:

  2. Add the sugar, salt, and yeast to the flour.
  3. Whisk the dry ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Add the olive oil and lukewarm water to the dry ingredients.
  5. Stir with a wooden spoon or spatula until a thick, smooth batter forms.
  6. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or a damp towel.
  7. Let the batter rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  8. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  9. Grease and line a 13x9x3-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.
